Slow internet is not always your provider's fault – often the router simply cannot keep up. If you have lots of devices or thick walls, a dual-band router makes a noticeable difference: 5 GHz is faster, while 2.4 GHz reaches further. Over a large area, several Wi-Fi access points work better than one powerful router. When choosing a switch, decide on the number of ports and whether you need PoE – then a camera or access point gets its power through the same cable.
