You will use a large appliance for years, so measure the space before you buy: height, width, depth and which way the door opens. A No Frost fridge does not build up ice, so you never need to defrost it; choose the capacity by household size – 250–300 litres is enough for two people. With a washing machine, look at the load weight and the spin speed, while the energy class sets your monthly running costs. Choose built-in appliances to fit the cabinet recess.
