Fire and security alarm

Buying guide

Fire alarms come in two types. A conventional system shows which zone a detector was triggered in and is enough for a small site; an addressable one names the exact detector and saves search time in a large building. The panel, detectors and sounders must all belong to the same system. The cable is special too – fire-resistant, so the signal isn't cut during a fire. Intruder alarms work on the same principle, only with motion and door-opening sensors.
