In a good thermos, tea poured in the morning stays hot for hours – exactly how many is listed in the specifications. A dented wall can damage the vacuum. Half a litre is enough for one person, while a litre or more is better for hiking. A travel mug for the car fits the cup holder and opens with one hand. Water bottles are for the gym and school: steel ones do not pick up smells, plastic ones are lighter.
