Buying guide

With a projector, brightness (in lumens) and throw distance decide whether it will work in your room. In a dark hall fewer lumens will do, but a lit room needs noticeably more. The manufacturer states what picture size you get from what distance – check this figure before choosing a screen size. The lamp wears out, so know the replacement cost in advance. A screen beats a white wall because its surface is uniform; a ceiling mount is what you need when the projector stays in one place permanently.
