Buying guide

Work out what you need the laptop for first, and only then look at the specs. For everyday work, the amount of RAM and the speed of the SSD make a bigger difference than the processor model; for gaming and graphics, a dedicated graphics card becomes the deciding factor. Beyond resolution, check the screen's brightness if you often work near a window. Weight and battery go hand in hand – a lighter model usually means less power. If you plan to upgrade later, check whether the RAM and storage are replaceable or soldered to the board.
