USB flash drives and memory cards

Buying guide

Flash drives and memory cards both store files, but they're designed for different devices. With a flash drive, look at the USB generation as well as the capacity: on an older standard, copying a large file takes much longer. For a card, first check what format your phone, camera or dashcam needs – microSD and full-size SD aren't interchangeable. For recording video, the speed class matters more than the capacity.
