Buying guide

With a phone holder, what matters is where you'll mount it and how firmly it holds. Car air-vent mounts are easy to fit, but the vent can't support a heavy phone; windscreen mounts that stick to the glass are sturdier, though the suction weakens in the heat. Magnetic holders are quick, but you need to stick a metal plate on your case. A desk stand is simpler – just look at angle adjustment and stability. If you charge your phone wirelessly, the holder mustn't block the charging coil.
