When replacing a power adapter, three things must match the old one: the voltage exactly, the current at least as high, and the plug size along with its polarity. An adapter with a higher current rating won't harm the device, but a different voltage will. Industrial DIN-rail power supplies are designed for cabinet mounting and provide constant power to cameras, controllers and network equipment.
